More Information
Before & After School Care
HNCCA offers an array of structured and unstructured activities to support children attending Before & After School Care.
Our passionate Kindergarten, One-Two, and Three-Six Educational Leaders implement age-appropriate activities such as craft, drama play, sport, reading and quiet time, ensuring that there are always opportunities for children to participate in.
We also know that children need time down to relax before, or after a long day at school. Our comprehensive play spaces and play-equipment allows children to pick their own way to play, learn and express themselves in a safe and supportive environment.
During mealtimes, Children are offered nutritious food options, developed in accordance with the Australian Nutrition Guidelines.

Vacation Care & Pupil Free Days
Vacation Care is provided at HNCCA through all school holiday periods as well as any Pupil Free Days, between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:30 pm.
Our Vacation Care programs are designed to include activities children enjoy and are based off children’s feedback, helping to build their independence and encourage their personalities to shine through the holiday period.
Vacation care is packed with different themed staff-led days as well as incursions and excursions targeted at all ages.
At HNCCA it is of the highest importance that children enjoy their holidays in a fun safe environment.
Kindergarten
HNCCA strives on providing a nurturing and safe environment to all kindergarten children.
This is evident through implementing procedures to support their needs and growth at an early age.
For the first term of school, Kindergarten children are offered a separate play area and a specific program to support children in familiarising themselves with their peers and the structure of HNCCA. The designated kindergarten program encourages children to participate in activities each afternoon, assisting in children’s social, cognitive, speech and motor skill development.
All kindergarten children are collected from their classes by select staff members each afternoon. This is essential during their transition to school, as it allows them to become familiar with members at HNCCA.
In term four, children are able to walk themselves over to HNCCA, showing their independence and confidence. The following year, we continue to guide the children to walk over to the centre by themselves, until they are confident in their routine.
Within the centre, we have a list of the kindergarten classes documenting the names and days each kindergarten child will attend. If a kindergarten child is booked in casually for an afternoon, this will be communicated onto the list to ensure the child/children are collected from the classroom.
